1st and 3rd shift Manufacturing Technician

Discover HANA Technologies Electronics Manufacturing Services and Support. Our U.S. Headquarters is located in Twinsburg OH and will move to Solon, OH in 2023. HANA Technologies is part of the HANA Microelectronics Group which includes six facilities worldwide, located in the USA, Thailand, China and Cambodia. Our combined manufacturing space is over 1,000,000 SF and equipped with advanced automation technologies and equipment. The HANA Group includes over 10,000 employees worldwide!

1st shift: 7am – 3:30pm

3rd shift: 11:30pm – 7:30am

Weekend Manufacturing Technician Position Summary:

Support manufacturing operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment. Key player in equipment uptime, quality and run rate.

· Skilled in the use of a wide variety of tools and test equipment.

· Cleanroom experience desirable.

· Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Superior organization and problem-solving skills

· Microsoft Office products

Both shifts (below) are considered full-time and benefit eligible.

Weekend PM shift will work from 7pm-7am Fri, Sat, & Sun & off 4 days

Minimum Qualifications: ·

* High school diploma / GED

* 2 to 5 years of experience in equipment setup, electronics, roll to roll and manufacturing.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist with equipment installations, startup, and qualification.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment and material problems.
  • Assist engineering with process developments.
  • Collect and report data on process, product, or machine performance.
  • Monitor equipment uptime, report issues, propose solutions to equipment issues.
  • Run production equipment and train operators as needed.
  • Review new or old documentation for accuracy or compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour

Quality Engineer

Position Title: Quality Engineer

Supervisor’s Title: Director, Engineering

Position Summary: 

  • Develop, plan, organize and personally assist in operations to ensure the stable operation and compliance of HTI’s Integrated Management System (Quality and Environmental). This includes developing, educating, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline (preferably Industrial or Mechanical Engineering) or combination of education and work experience.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with WinSPC, Minitab, Visio software, or equivalent software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) an added advantage
  • Experience with AIAG Core Tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Error Proofing, and Control Plans desired.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, including customer specific requirements and special characteristics, procedures, test procedures, inspection and test analysis, as required. 
  • Ensures critical information is documented and communicated to appropriate personnel.
  • Assists in creating, updating and maintaining policies, processes, procedures and documentation including control plans, FMEA, operator instructions, PPAP, APQP, MSA, corrective action processes, audits, feedback and scorecards.
  • Ability to effectively train others on best quality practices.
  • Serve as the Quality Expert.  Provide direction and make decisions based on customer, supplier and internal quality requirements.
  • Understand and apply problem solving techniques, develop plans, issue CAR’s, monitors, documents and confirm completion. 
  • Develop, enhance, and ensure that training on applicable Quality and Environmental policies, procedures, requirements and objectives are accurate, understood and followed.
  • Provide Quality training and expertise with regards to materials, supplier quality, inspection requirements, data collection, control plans, FMEA’s and communicates issues
  • Supports continual improvement activities to enhance the IMS (Quality and Environmental systems), such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, reacting to, and reporting on quality metrics and objectives, including SPC, process capability, and yield.
  • Drive action based on information, up to and including stopping production or shipments, if situation warrants.  Communicates appropriately.
  • Setting quality objectives and organizing related training
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with ISO 9001
  • Experience with IATF 16949 (Automotive) and/or ISO 13485 (Medical Devices) preferred
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.
  • Detail and results oriented with decision making skills.

  • Superior organization and problem-solving skills.

Manufacturing Engineer

SUMMARY

The Manufacturing engineer will develop, implement and/or improve processes in a fast paced, high technology, electronics assembly environment and provide manufacturing capability to meet or exceed product quality, quantity, and cost requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in Engineering discipline (preferably Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering)
  • One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing assembly environment

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review new product designs for manufacturability
  • Evaluate, purchase, install & qualify new production equipment
  • Work with customers and/or vendors on process transfers
  • Program automated equipment (SMT, Ovens, FlipChip, Dispense systems, etc.)
  • Propose changes for cost savings, yield, & productivity improvements • Research latest technologies in relation to capability improvements
  • Train manufacturing personnel on assembly procedures
  • Provide technical support to sales & marketing teams for change requests

Position Title: Operator

Supervisor’s Title: Production Supervisor

SUMMARY

Operators perform manufacturing processes in the following areas: front & back-end display production, RFID inlay/tag production & testing, and camera assembly & testing. Initially operators are assigned to one area and after learning required specifications will be cross trained in as many areas as possible to meet production schedule demands.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• HS Diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions & adhere to ESD, cleanroom gowning, & safety protocols.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties for each area include and are not limited to: Micro-Display:

  • PI coating: Clean all products, coating, & align silicon wafers.
  • Assembly: Assemble glass wafers to silicon wafers.
  • Saw: Saw wafers into cell form.
  • Fill: Fill displays with liquid crystal.
  • Test: Testing all products through various methods.
  • Inspection: Inspect products to ensure customer specs are met.
  • Packaging: Cell attach & wire bond products to customer flex or board RFID.
  • RFID Inlay Assembly: Operation, set-up, & routine preventative maintenance of automated, roll-to-roll manufacturing line.
  • RFID Conversion Dry to Wet: Operation, set up & routine preventive maintenance of automated roll to roll manufacturing line.
  • RFID Testing: Variety of performance & characterization testing of RFID inlays & labels.
  • RFID 4.0 Tags: Operation, set-up, & routine preventive maintenance of equipment including spring assembly, measuring, auto-tester, & seed preparation.
  • RFID 3.5 Tags: Operation, set-up, & routine preventive maintenance of equipment including various manual equipment & testing equipment LCD assembly.
  • Camera Assembly: Operation & set-up of assembly equipment.
  • Camera Testing: Performance & characterization testing of cameras.
  • LCD Backlight Assembly: Assembly of parts manually & with use of fixtures.
  • Solder: Assembly of components onto PCBs, hand soldering, & inspection.
  • Surface Mount (SMT): Placement of components onto PCBs using solder printing & placement equipment, solder reflow in oven, & inspection All Areas: Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES.

  • Use of measurement devices – i.e. calipers, force gauges, DMMs, microscopes, etc.
  • Ability to work in cleanrooms * Strong communication skills with supervisors, operators, & peers.
